I remember seeing that on WCYB about the protest at the White Zombie concert. Apparently, it's just something about big acts coming to Bristol that brings out all the fanatics.

Your right that picture is horrible, lets get rid of it. And lets start getting rid of books that have bad images/ideas. Music that has been image or ideas, etc

I guess Mayhem is considered normal compared to a skinny white due wearing make up and having a fake oxygen mask attached to his junk as to a band member killing himself, other band members wearing pieces of his skull, then having one member becoming jealous because the other is more evil and then killing him.

Some folks just don't get it man.

I'm not accusing Manson of doing some of the crap he is accused of, but I still don't like him as a rockstar or performer.

I don't like his type of music.

I will say that there are groups out there that write music worse than Manson even thought of. I've heard some of Rob Zombie's songs. I've also heard one of White Zombie's songs.

I don't like some of the stuff that some of these bands sing about, but I am not going to say they're monsters.

If he's doing some of the crap that he is accused of, then shame on em. We should pray for people that way.

Today, we like to put sins on a scale.

We judge homosexuality the most I think. It's a sin, but so is adultery, gossip, etc.

I dont think its a question of right and wrong. Most people who can look at things such as Manson and that genre, know its fake. Its no taste, its pathetic to be honest, but its what they do and how they do feed off of the shock and publicity. If you ignore it, it goes away. Truly, in Mansons case it does, Antichrist superstar, launched Manson into the next stratus, just pop enough to be mainstream, but saying the worst things he could, the easy target. Mechanical Animals that followed antichrist superstar, was approached at a different angle, he popularity just wasnt there. He still has never recovered really. Go to any music website or discussion board and mention Manson, you think this place has railed him, it becomes a whole nother world. I dont have a lot for bands who just beat the dead horse of using religion as their means of inspiration, in a negative manor. But, I do understand Pac Mans concern, when kids see this it can affect them, its not about warning kids, its about parents being parents and saying no. Manson and the like will deal with what they do, people should deal with themselves as well. Personal accountability is lost in our society now. Im not afraid of a kid wearing black lipstick, oversized jeans, a dog collar, because I know they are gonna look back and say what was I thinking, Im afraid of the 6 year old in Iran sitting watching a television program that portrays a mickey mouse character simulating firing an AK-47 at Jews.

To me, Manson is no different than watching Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter. It's a character, in a different style of 'art'.
